About Us
Born of fire, flavor, and fierce devotion, JT Fusion Cocina began in a cramped Oakland apartment where two survivors—Junior and Torie Cortez—found healing over a cutting board. She brought Latin zest and her Abuela’s soul-simmered wisdom. He brought Caribbean fire and Filipino heart, sharpened in the kitchens of East Bay’s finest private chefs.
What started as late-night flavor experiments became hallway feasts. Friends lined up. Strangers asked for seconds. And in the sizzle of cast iron, we discovered something sacred: food could rebuild us.
